Intrigued by this offering from Meridian, thought it might be ideal for the bedroom. Saw online that Hifi World reviewed it this month but as my local WHS has sold out, just wondered if anyone has seen the article and how was it received?

    Cheers

Is this the clock radio? If it is it sounded superb at the Heathrow show, really incredible for a small box, definately worth a listen, personally I could live without the Ferrari badge.

It got mentioned in the editorial, as Hi Fi's 'way forward' type of thing, incorporating great styling a la Apple i-pod, with great sound and function. (Only missing a HDMI output)

It obviously floated David Price's boat.

It sounds superb, and is a wonderfully made piece of kit.

I chatted at length with Meridian about it at the heathrow show.

It literally sounded as good as some of the rooms at the show (and this was the 'high end' show).

£1,500 is a lot, but you are getting an awful lot of product for your money.

Hifi world loved it, and I actually agreed with David Price, the reviewer.

At the show they had corner placement (probably to reinforce the bass), but then it was in a room that was probably 50x60 feet... and sounded good!!

From DVD (V and A), to CD, to DAB, to FM - a brilliant all in one unit that might embarass a main system.

Bottleneck is absolutely correct, I could hardly believe the sound, two three inch active speakers and a an elliptical base driver ( I believe ) really much better than the £225k system playing next door!

Good on them....the pro-sound industry embraced active/DSP technology years ago.

This type of product may get a few more manufacturers thinking more creatively (not Bose though!)

Just found this video...doesn't she look really, really interested!

Agree totally. I too chatted with the Meridian guys at Heathrow. It's an amazing box and very attractive.

I imagine it being best for someone that has nothing ...not a hifi, not even a dvd player - just a tv.

I would like to see a version with just the amp and speakers designed for the iPod, Squeezebox users.

I have heard that the guys at Meridian are big Squeezebox fans...who know's.

    Chris,

As you have "no speakers, no amp, no hifi!", when are you going to order one?
