Hififorsale - "Private" dealers

    Wondered if anyone else has noticed this behaviour.

    You have a look for people selling a particular brand and see several adverts from different names and e-mail addresses but the same mobile phone number.

    problem is that the site has no limits on the number of accounts one person can open.
    the biggest problem with hfs is time wasters and people offering well above the asking price to secure the item but are unable to discuss anything over the phone because of whatever reason (in my experience).
    i am told that the latest scam involves them sending a cheque, you bank it before sending the goods and it somehow enables them to instantly draw from your account.
    be carefull or only deal with real phone numbers etc. ie landlines.
