i bought this from amazon a few weeks back - prompted by a thread here and that 10 years ago or so a girlfriend of mine was very fond of it. she was beautiful but fundamentaly flawed , f***ing nuts if you prefer. I remember she seemed to think that Kirsten hershy bar undertsood her. In the same way i think billy bragg understands me I suppose. my recollection of hips was a hard edgy truthful record. the reality is that like bardot it hasn't aged very well. God it's dreary.

Know nix about Kirsten Hirsh, but pleased to see a fellow Braggista on the board. Billy seems to age better as the years (this year and the last in particular) goes by, or at least his older stuff does. Just seems hard to believe that one might think it especially pertinent to a Labour government

I don't know much Billy Bragg, but one of my brothers used to have some stuff.

Perhaps I should give it a spin. With lyrics like "I am the milkman of human kindness, and I'll leave an extra pint at your door" (or something like that  ), can't really go wrong.
