Anyone else booked their hols yet?
I've just got flights to Sardinia in April for less than £40 each, which means we can enjoy the fine wines and rough granite on the cheap..

Off to South Africa last 2 weeks of March - looking forward to it. Few days in Cape Town, then driving gently along the Garden Route. Then a quick stop in Durban before driving up to Hluhluwe in Kwazulu Natal where a friend of mine is having their wedding.

Hopefully doing a bit of traveling when I graduate, probably only going for three weeks now, but itend to visit Germany (Berlin, Bon and some where else), France (Paris, and some where in southern france such as the Riveria), Spain (Barcelona, and a cheapo tourist place for the four S's.). Will also probably visit Amsterdam agan and maybe Belgium.

One thing is for sure, I am not going anywhere near Blackpool.

Off to Malaysia in August. 5 nights in Kuala Lumpar, then 7 nights in Kuantan, 7 nights in Langkawi.
Will be off to the lakes walking around christmas. Being a teacher holidays have to be booked as we can only go at peak times.

America for me, going to visit my relatives there for the first time in June. They live near Memphis, planned visits include some blues bars, and Graceland (not an Elvis fan myself, but my twin sister really wants to go). I'm really looking forward to it, but I'm expecting the heat and humidity to be, errr, interesting.

You lucky swine. I'd love to go to Japan. Sadly, I'm terrified of flying. Oh well, Cornwall again.

    No!
Is "going on holiday to Sardinia" some sort of secret code meaning "anyone else enjoy putting highlights into folks hair"?
Though to be truthful I cut my sister's hair when she was 6 - it wasn't a very good job (I was 7) and I got a severe beating with a machete for my troubles. Put me off doing it for a living I spose.

And if Sardinia would normally be a hairdresser's choice of destination, I'd say they're very wise - it's as beautiful as North Wales without the weather or gogginess :D
And there's grand climbing, walking and wine.

No, it's just "Going anywhere nice for your holidays?" is the classic hairdresser gambit to start a conversation.

I miss foreign holidays...sigh...since I've been with my lady (2 1/2 years) - I've only been abroad once, in the 18 months prior to that I had been 6 times...don't see much hope of going away again this year...sigh...

Nothing planned for me. Was going to go to palm springs for a bit of winter sun, but uncertainty over the timescales of my house purchase, plus the financial pressures it results in have put paid to holiday plans for now.

Parents are off on sunday for three weeks in South Africa (Cape, Kruger, etc)... think it's the 4th time in 3 years.

    Aaah, now I understand...
My hairdresser mainly talks about electrics, bizarrely.. Maybe he's got confused as I used to go once a month for a no.1 flat-top, now I go about twice a year, tell him I want "rockin' hair", which tends to result in country hair (i.e sticking out in all directions in the classic dragged-through-a-hedge-backwards style).
And to think I used to care about things like that, what with having dyed it every colour under the sun, had the Dave Sylvian wuss-cut, and the Gary Numan "Replicas" cut; and mohawks and rockabilly quiffs...
Thinking about it, mebbe I am a repressed hairdresser as I've gone on about it for an excessive amount of time

Just back from three weeks in Brasil so I'm not likely to be taking any summer holiday abroad.
