    look at this:
    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NIKON-AF-80-4...ryZ52473QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

he has created 10 scammy feedbacks for himself - on the same day of listing this lens, from buyers whose IDs are random characters, all for some cheap bracelet and with cut and pasted feedback remarks  . I've sent him a query and also reported to ebay.

doesn't help the black mood I'm in having looked around for a reasonably priced long lens for my D70, for sports and wildlife. in the good old days of manual lenses you could pick up a cheap prime and stick a teleconverter on it. now you can't use the camera's metering with a manual lens (according to the manual - I may well test this out in a shop), the latest digi AF lenses are horrifically expensive and both Nikon and Sigma teleconverters only work with a few specific lenses. bah!

If it's too good to be true....

The cheapest you'd possibly get one realistically is about £700 new if you happened to be in the US or knew someone going there who would bring it back for you. Of course, you'd have to declare it and pay VAT and duty on top... ;) Best uk price will be around £1000

My brother has been buying religiously from cameta cameras in the states. They have an ebay shop and so far he's not had any bother with them or customs.

I've been sorely tempted to get some bits and bobs for my D70 from them but got sidetracked by hifi D'oh.

It the person looked like he was based in China then it was probably the same prick who i reported yesterday using a similar method.

As i said on my similar thread over on PFM it is almost amusing seeing the incredibly amateurish and child like methods that he has used to build up his fake feedback profile. I bet he is sitting in some hovel really believing that he can hook a big fish, a pathetic effort but funny all the same.

Some of the feedback comments are worthy of note, if only to cheer up a dreary afternoon with some minor chuckles...
