    Hi,

Intersting looking amp. Don't know much about it. It a new one from Horning.

There is a little piece here. It's from a dealer. I am aware of two dealers in the UK.

Monty SF's aren't usually particularly sensitive/efficient are they? Which amp do you use at the moment, just thinking a fairly low powered valve amp may not get the best from them,Keith.

I heard the Horning amp briefly at Audiolincs and it sounded fantasic through Horning speakers, very natural and emotive. I would certainly have a pair of the speakers if I had the cash.

    Hi Keith,

I have a second hand Graaf 50 watt integrated valve amp at the moment - seems okay with the SF at the moment, but was looking for a possible upgrade and saw the SATI - just it is far too expensive for me.

    Hi Monty,

What is the rest of your system. I had a quick look at your previous post and it seems you have (or had ) a Lamm pre amp & Berning power amp. What didn't you like about that combo?

    Hi SCIDB,

I now have a Berning with a Joule preamp and I love the sound, but I need to reduce the size of my kit and the number of 'black' boxes. I'm also moving from a dedicated room to the living room.

I know this will appear very shallow, but I also would like an integrated valve amp that would look great in a living room!

    Cheers,

    Monty

Oh I forgot to mention the Lamm went because it added far to much 'warmth' to the bass.

Hey, Knotty, maybe you could afford these...

    Ebay item 160214333530

I had a pair of these, and this is a VERY VERY good price - well worth the agony of hauling them up four flights of stairs! I've bought things off Paul before too and he's a really good bloke. He'll audition stuff if you ask.
