Hot - little dot 11+

    I really enjoy listening to music with my AKG 701S powered by this incredible amp. Sounds better by miles than my Rega headphone amp, only problem is that it is only good for a couple of hours listening when I have to switch it off else the smoke alarm goes off. Yes it gets that hot !!

    Is there any mod I can to make it run cooler?

    How about the ole no smoking in yer hotel room trick of putting a condom over the smoke alarm,or get a fan to blast cool air over the amp

    Its probably got a 220v transformer.

    Youre right there. I checked and it says 220v but what do I do about it

    I don't really know apart from changing the tranny for a UK specced one.
