Well the warm weather is really helping things along. The fund ticks up slowly for a new(ish) cd player.

In the mean time Ed Rush And Optical is pumping out at ridiculous levels. The warmth eases the cart and the speaker cones and boy its Phat.

Those in possession of a deck and phat beats, I order you to play loud immediately.

The rest of you be quiet.

    Whats to tell? :)

A good bit of loud drum'n'bass or even techno never did anyone any harm :D and I listen to quite a lot of it actaully (Ed Rush & Optical, Ram Trilogy, Dillinja, Technical Itch, Bad Company, Adam F, High Contrast et al, plus a bit of breakbeat ala Freq Nasty or Rennie Pilgrem).

I have been tempted to get a pair of turntables and have a go at DJing myself, but the lack of decent vinyl in Wolverhampton puts me off (theres only 3 'proper' record shops for this sort of thing and all are small slightly run down places) and I cant be bothered going all the way to Birmingham to HTFR just for vinyl. Then theres the cost :(

Most of it isn't actually very 'hifi' style music, it has little subtlety, I expect most people here would hate it, but then it needs a 'fairly good' hifi (I use the term loosely, I mean compared to what most of the population play their music through) to play it through unless you like your bass even more distorted than it is on the record :)

I thought that was defacto for vinyl shops:D
