    there's a TV ad running in london for a mod ska compilation (specials/jam/selector etc.) at the end of the ad you're implored to buy own for you dad for father's day.

    I remember going to see the 2tone tour at the TopRank in B'ham where the Specials, Madness and the Selector were on the same bill. Amazing high energy gig. Must have been about 1979?

    i saw the specials gig in pompey a little later with the go go's and i think the body snatchers. the gg's were fantastic and made quite an impression on 16 y old me
