yes it seems to have turned into a little red cross

 

1 member to claim that candles give a better quality of light.
5 to ridicule the candle enthusiast and claim the LED is the only way forward.
2 lighting geeks to give the benefits of LEDs
6 fence sitters to say they'll convert to LED when it's cheaper/brighter/has more features
3 to have a private argument about the rumour of a new feature in the next generation LEDs
1 to suggest that blue LEDs work better
1 forum member sitting in the dark posting the question "My lamp has gone, do you think I should change the bulb?"

 

discussions about light bulbs always seem to generate to much heat!

 

I think you have been spending too much time reading AV forums ........ shame on you. Ditton, that is so true so lets repeat the debate with something more significant shall we?

 

My wife is sending me out to buy a dimmer switch. Has anyone noticed a degradation in light quality with a dimmer in circuit?

Yes! It come sometimes make the light seem dimmer.
