I don't want to vote labour either.

I won't be voting for the present bunch of lying tories in power atm., right dishonourable members, lib dem, for my area.

I am not political, best one I heard was, I vote for whichever party would serve my interest best. Says it all really. Whoever says the right thing, tories for me this one, but I have liberal tendencies, so libs.

I shall be going to vote later but to be honest I have no idea who to vote for.

It won't be Labour of course. I won't vote for lying cheating scum who steal my money and use it to pay for political correctness and drugs and booze for wastrels and curs and others who've done nothing to earn it.

It won't be the Tories because their manifesto is truly pathetic and really only tackles the issues I'm concerned about in a half-arsed way which means none of it will actually happen.

The lib-dems have a lot of good things to say and if only everyone who thought the same would go out and vote they might have a good chance of putting some of it into action. This is probably where my vote will go.

The UKIP also pushes quite a few of my buttons. I am very concerned about having closer than ever ties with Europe. Legislation formed across the channel is already strangling small and medium British businesses. If we sign up to the so-called constitution and the Euro, I think Great Britain Ltd. will go broke. I may vote for them just to register my protest.

Still, I won't have to worry about being fleeced by the Government for much longer as I am stepping off the corporate treadmill at the end of July. I've had enough of busting my wotsits in order to support idlers and stupidity.

My problem is I hate smoking and support a full smoking ban, so a party that wants to make weed legal can't get my respect

Labour are too working class and too lets make sure people can have a good standard of living without having to work etc, where as the tories have policies which would really hurt most of the working class Britian which is just as bad.

I agree with labours stance on helping working class people out with benefits, no tuition fees etc, but I don't think they are doing enough to stop dole pushers.

My local conversative MP lives in Middlesex, my local ward is Withington which is in Manchester, erm.I think her geography is about 180 miles out.

The lib dems have made a very good case but I can't see how they can execute much of what they say, and the weed thing is somthing I personaly don't agree on.

However I think labour would impose too much of freedom.

er, apart from the paradoxical problem that freedom ain't something which can imposed. I wonder what you mean by that. Freedom to do what exactly? I don't believe for one second Labour plan to impose any such thing ... ID cards and house arrest without trial seems to be more their bag, but was wondering why you think Freedom such a bad thing.

personally i'm in favour of legalising all drugs, with commesurate taxes levied on thier sale to cope with health and order problems caused (although i doubt the impact would be great). however this would piss off the americans who are currently lodged in our back passage so it ain;t gonna happen. as for smoking - as an ex smoket i'd like to see it banned in public places (or at least tax breaks for those places that do ban it and 'danger money' for workers who work in smoky places) however a total ban will just push it underground like other drugs.
    cheers

Instructed my dad to vote Labour on my behalf via the postal/proxy vote he has for me. My vote counts in Hammersmith & Fulham (the const. where I last lived in the UK) and that's a Labour marginal with the Lib Dems a very distant 3rd so voting for anyone other than Labour would be supporting the Tories which is something I'd never do. If the Lib Dems had had a chance in my const. I would have voted for them.

    Michael.

I am not really a tory though as I am not voting for them, labour have helped my family out, I am all for helping out poorer people, but they don't seem to be doing enough to crack down on abuse to the system.

The biggest problem I have with the tories is their tuition fees policy, it will really hurt the working classes. They want to crap the fees but introduce commercial loans. This means that the richer people can go to university for free, subsidised by their rich parents, where as poor people would have to take out a massive loan with at least 20% interest.

I've just always like the idea of you make your own wealth, I realise that in the real world it dosn't always work though.

With regards to the accomdation problem I am hoping to book a hotel tomorrow when a lot of my work is handed in. I am not going on holiday this summer and I have plenty of computers to sell so I shouldn't be too poor while looking for a proper job.

I think I will vote in the 2009 elections when I have decided who I support.

As regard to UKIP I agree that the European laws are causing problems but it also offers proctection. If it wasn;t for the EU I bet many billions of tax payers money would have spent on saving Rover, like in the 1970's.

EU Money has also built new schools in the UK, but I suspect that we spend more on being in the EU than we get out of it. If the UK was not in the EU thogh many foreign investors could avoid the UK.

Its the same with smokers though, but that is a debate for another topic, in fact I have debated this on here before. The smoking ban is one only nanny state labour laws I agree with.
