There is an interesting new Chrome extension here

    http://lab.ejci.net/Chrome-Audio-EQ/

It should be used with an extension that forces the use of the HTML5 audio stream

    https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/html5ify/jikbjpjgjmmdhcmlagappehlpiljoaop

I have tried it with Google Play Music on my Chromebook

It seems to work. I would be interested to see comments after a more thorough inspection.

(The annoying thing for me is that Chromebook runs a locked down Linux but there is no way to manage the very competent ALSA player.)

That's good! I often find that poor sound on Youtube or other online streaming leads me to boost the mid on my EQ. Good to have it on the browser rather than need to fuss with my hi-fi.

Have you done any measurements, Tenson? Does this equalizer behave politely?

I haven't checked it out at all, sorry.
