I don't think you will get any decent 5.1 speaker packages for less than £100.

I really only want two speakers and a sub. I appriciate its not going to be ground breaking, but its only for a small room.

Thats a diffeent matter then, why do you need a sub? You may be better of with some £100 pair of speakers. I was given a Gale Subwoofer which still sells for £50 at Richers, it was ok if you have it on mild settings just to add a little bit extra to the bass but I found more than anything it slowed things down.

The eltax subs are probably a bit better though, I think you can get these for around £60, buy some JPW 310i speakers or Eltax Monitor III's and you should have a half decent setup for £100.

Don't go to Richers. Go to Hifi Experience in Tottenham Ct Rd and get yourself a Tivoli radio (there's stereo and mono versions, and an optional sub if you like). Tivolis have an input for external devices, and sound great (I've got two).

Side show we did look at the tivolas and I was tempted. However being a modern kinda guy, we went for these: http://harmon-multimedia.com

The creatures are rather cool and can take direct input. So that is now sat happily in the bedroom either side of the bed. The ipod is fantastic and the sound is much better than I thought possible, I also bough a lead to plug it into the HIFI as well, not that it is really that important as the same playlist is on the mac in to the HIFI as wel, but what the hey!

    Having much fun right now.
