I couldn't listen to a Paganini concert...

Since I bought the Electra Amator II... Their tweeters are quite more revealing than the Concerto's or KEF 104.2 I had before...

Yesterday I played it, fantastic, what an extension, without a hint of grain or harshness...

Meanwhile, the extraordinaire presence and dynamics, of the Krell, bother me a little with classical music, so today I have been playing with equalization trying to solve this problem...

I ended up with two configurations, one presence filter, 2 octaves centered on 1250hz, the other a high shelf filter starting on 630hz, both -3db...

Bingo, for barroque the second works better, for orquestra the first, at least with the few tests I did... With other music, I love it with only room correction... :MILD:

Edited to add:

I am having an orgasm listening to Kathleen Battle singing Mahler's Symphony No.4 fourth mouvement... :shame:

Did I use a forbiden word, or dont you guys remember what it means... :p

Antonio,

I don't think the O word is that controversial, most forum members have experienced the effect, even if, for some of them, it has been a purely solo event:D

It's the dreaded E word that is considered taboo by many of those soloists I refer to above;)

Oh, that... :JPS:

They prefer cryogenic and similar kinds of voodoo, snake oil, etc... :p

If equalization was done with a soldering iron, they would love it too... :techno:
