I was up till about 2:30 last night listening to music with my headphone like you do. I was had it on about 10:00-11:00 o'clock as you have to have my HD495's on loud to just to get anything out of it, 11:00 o'clock on most headphone would damage your ears but not these. Anyway I just dancing about as I wasn't tired and then the cable came out of my amp. I had music blasting out of my HIFI and full volume. It woke everybody up in the house.... woops.

My PM4000 was better in respect as it has buttons to swtich the speakers off, but on the PM6010 its done by a switch in the headphone jack itself. All this after I had an argument with a mate telling me to buy cordless ones, he dosn't seem to understand they sound crap.

Why possesses a grown man to dance around the room at 2.30 in the morning connected to a pair of ear phones via a cable.

Falling asleep with them whilst playing is a major risk which can damage your hearing. Methinks Mr Amazingtrade needs to adopt a far less risky approach to Hifi.

I wave my arms around when engulfed with music, but no more, I suggest Mr Amazingtrade does the same.

    Regards

    Mick

Been there done that - he he he - hope the speakers are OK :)

Why is falling asleep with phones on/in bad - I mean, I don't play at ridiculous levels anyway?

Sometimes when drunk after a good night out, the only way I can sleep is by sticking on something like Portishead or Dark Soho on my discman - I've often woken up the next morning with the phones still in... :)

It wasn't that loud but the HD495's need the volume on high to be at medium levels. The HD495's don't go loud because the bass just becomes dissorted.

If I got woken up by Yvonne Elliman's or the Kool & the gang's tracks on that album I'd not mind - and most of the Bee Gees' stuff on there is OK too - but there are a couple of real shockers too!

It was REM'S Reveal album, I can't remember the song that was playing now. I just remember me panicing like mad and turned off the CDP. I didn't have the remote control near by so it took a few seconds to turn the thing off. My new headphones have a thicker cable so the cable dosn't get cuaght as easily. I also tend to lie in bed still when listening to music now. The day it happened I had 1 litre of coke, and I have been just drinkinh 330ml a day so I think the cafeine may have made be hyper.

I don't actualy have the Night Fever album although I have most of their tracks on other CDs. I am do look out for in my local record shop though on LP. I just tend to by new stuff and compilations on CD now as CDs need negative value if I can get a better sounding LP for much cheaper.
