The problem is we are all cheap students and don't want to dress up the classier bars you tend to have to dress up to be able to get in. I think that Stomp thing at the MMU dosn't exist anymore. Sankey's Soap is a bit too expensive and people say its full of scallies these days but I am not sure if its true.
I am going to a university do on Thursday at 5th Ave, it should be good as they should play proper indie and keep the scallies out. When I went last saturday it was more American rock than indie.
Deansgate locks is nice but again too expensive/too hard to get in.
The Ritz is apparantly good on Mondays but its not my kind of music.
As for not going into a club for years I guess its better being happy married and settled rather than going out clubbing wasting money on booze. I reckon it must be 25 years since my parents last went to a club.
I know people at uni who seem to be in night clubs nearly every other night, they will end up getting a 3rd of fail because they drink too much. I only really like clubbing if I do it about twice a momth, any more than this and the novelty wears off.
