Sounds good. If that is what drives you & makes you happy, stick with it.
FWIW I just jacked in my (well paid & stimulating) job that I loved, sold the house & most of our worldly possessions (except the hi-fi & vinyl, which is still, hopefully, en route) & moved to the other side of the world with wife & kids to have a bit of an adventure....I suspect it's known in some quarters as a mid life crisis.
    Currently unemployed & renting.
But damn it's nice to go jogging on the beach in the morning....

    AT,
If the profit is one that would be recognized by your book-keeper, accountant or tax man then indeed well done. Keep bean counting, keep records and with any luck at all your business will keep you.

No accountant but that profit figure is what the books say but I do not have an accountant yet as the tax I will have to pay until April 2008 is so little its not worth it.

    at,
I've said it before and I'll keep saying it. you have (iirc) 2 years remaining until you are too old for a cheap euro rail pass and it's probably not going to be much longer until air fares shoot up in price too for green/ fuel tax reasons. so get the fcuk out of dodge and go see the world - it's the smallest it's ever been right now but it'll be getting bigger in the near future.
i wish it had done more traveling when i was younger - and i've moved around a hell of a lot.
jobs will always be around - even if it's flipping burgers while you re-establish a business.

AT. You are all over the place. You are exactly where I was at 24.

The advice being given to you week after week is freely given and you are not expected to take it all on.

But worrying yourself about a flat in Manchester at 24 when you could be doing a ski season or a trip round and about is not the way to go.

I know you don't listen but enough people have said it to you in 3 years that I know of.

Think of your life right now and ask yourself if you are happy, because it ain't gonna get rosier with a huge mortgage and monthly maintenance charges.

The world is out there, when you have been caught up in your own little world, it can seem daunting, but really its not.
