i wanna watch tv....

    ive got three phono sockets on the back of my puter, red, white and yellow.ive got the same on the front of my tv.ive tried connecting them up to watch the stuff ive got on my puter on my telle but it isent there, nothing is, am i missing something?

    i just get a blank screen.

    yellow is usually video. have you tried different resolutions as you may only be able to see 640 x 480 on a conventional tv.

    You probably have to go into Display Properties (right-click on the desktop and select Properties) and turn on the TV output. You may find that you can't use the TV and the monitor at the same time. That is the case with my PC video card (GeForce 2mx). Annoyingly, the copy of PowerDVD which came with my machine will not play DVDs if it detects that the TV output is enabled - presumably to stop recording of the video signal.

    had a look in there and i cant find anything to say the tv out is switched off.it says moniter 60 htz and this is the only thing i can change.ill have another go later but my puter skills are very much limited to the on/off button.

    Cheers MO! I had a break. Spent some time chillin' in Torquay :cool:

    I used to have a TV and I did experiment with the TV out on my PC back then.

    Rob, is this a laptop PC or a desktop PC?

    It sounds like you may not have the right display driver installed.

    its a desktop pc. i think its got g force or something like that.ive just upgraded it as well.i did have a look last night and there was a bus or something not working so i will have another try today.
