My thoughts exactly and the sad thing if that this time it is the Buddist monks, they are highly revered and as far as I know some of the most peace loving people in the world. Just makes me mad.

Actually the youth of Myanmar are expected to do "Buddha Service" just as we used to do National Service. Many are monks for a couple of years, then move on.

Still doesn't stop any human being feeling revulsion, just as the Muslim targetting of young trainee monks in Southern Thailand - they recently killed to 12 year olds with axes through the head for being Buddhists.

Let's just hope the military junta gets severely tangoed.

Spot on! Seems the USA won't get involved in any conflict unless there's money or power involved.

Ah yes if only the more egalitarian nations of the world would rise up and use a bit of force (violence) purely to make the world a better place.

From my limited knowledge of current affairs I think the last time anything like that happened was Kosovo. And the pure hearted saints doing the forcing that time were,,,,,,,,

That said, a pox on the Burmese rulers. They appear to be complete mentalists kept in power with the acquiescence of other nations who should know better.
