Auric, your spot on, I then launch those self appointed gardians of Music, and design some 'appropriate' sounding equipment, that would not required the approval of a blunder buss weilding, fountain pen abusing rhino blaster. WM

Difficult one - I don't even know half of what's out there but even as a multimillionaire I doubt I'd spend more than £50K absolute max on a system. I really can't see it getting much better after that

BTW, I didn't realise that androids were yet able to appreciate the uniquely human qualities of music :D With a nick like that, you'd better be prepared for a lot of StarTrek jokes :JOEL:

I'd buy a pair of speakers for every room of the house (then I'd have enough speakers for two pairs in every room :D ).

I'd get Castle to make me some decent speakers to go in the shower.

I'd get a Naim system, and give it to WM as a present.

I'd get Densen to turn my Beat B100 into a DM10.

I'd get Linn to design a new crossover for the Kabers so that they can use their latest Neodymium tweeters properly.

I'd finally get myself some Tannoy D700's and if necessary a new house to make them work properly in.

And if I still couldn't find one s/h hand, I'd get Halfer to make me a new XL600, a special one off gold plated one (unless it affects the sound ;) )

I'd get a pair of Harberths to see if they're really as good as Joel says they are.

Then, for the next day, I'd move on to cars.

But it ain't gonna happen. :(

    Cheers

Assuming you mean the jackpot price, a new detached house with a large listening/viewing room. Tannoy Dimension or Definition (depending on how I'm feeling at the time) range of speakers all around and then start auditioning for AV kit (up to about £25k) that gets the best out of these magnificant beasts.

Dev you are a charitable dude mate :) my toolbox rack (3 levels of mana) needs some extra height, so a 4 trivista cdp's would make a great mana stand raiser, top bloke and I could see to get my tools in the dark, with those sexy glowing feet :D WM

4 Cremonas + Cremona center and subwoofer, TAG AV + DVD, Bryston 14B SST + 6B SST, and the largest plasma arround, if the jackpot was big enough I could replace the Cremonas by Wilson Watt/Puppy 7, and the Brystons by Krells...

And a large room to fit all that... :MILD:

Don't forget you'll need some decent cables to go with that, I'd throw in a full set of Yamamura for good measure. :p

If I won the lotto, probably hang on to the front ends I have a already (a better phono stage wouldn't go a miss though), get a purpose built listening room with a pair of these in there:

...driven by mono block'd Belcanto or Spectral amps. :MILD:

Yep...the Duke of Marlborough's little pile does have a decent sized garden that might do TMH.

    hmmm

a better CD player. (probably the Lindemann I heard at GT Audio).

a nice rack. probably a copulare, because they look nice.

maybe a better line stage, or a stepped attenuator and upgraded bits in the one Ive got.

    a leak troughline.

    a roof mounted ariel.

rebuild the lounge to sound better.

    an SME IV

No change to my amp, speakers, speaker cable, phono stages, TT or cartridge... I like them and Im happy :D

(and a black shiny Audi TT with tan leather seats, if anyone cares! lol)

    Bottleneck,

somehow I dont believe that you would keep these. With a few million burning a hole in your pocket, the temptation to get some big f**k off valve amps and horn speakers to go in you new mansion will be too great I feel:D

    Cheers Robbo

    honestly mate - I would.

in fact, Im suprised more people havent said the same...

I wouldnt even move house.. just some decorative changes.

No point in change for changes sake I feel.

The biggest change to a lottery win would be the change in my lifestyle, pursueing a career and life that Ive never been able to follow.

What about you Robbo? ... would you change your merc for example, even though you like it already?

    Cheers
