Well, it's been sometime since I last posted anything hi-fi related here, I've been mostly hanging around the chat board.

I have found that I've found the views expressed with the chat board less and less agreeable. I've found content uneducated at best, and offensive at worst.

So I'll not be posting anymore. It's been fun, and I thank you all for those fun times and the intelligent debates I've enjoyed with many.

Food for thought - a forum search on the word "hate" returns the maximum 500 results.

Hope this had nothing to with 4*4s and Nissan Micras :D

I've not really found any hated on here.

Just kidding, sorry too see you go. I hope you don't feel unwelcome, even if you do not agree with most of what is said. Pop back now and then!

I cant say that I've seen any hatred, or anything that should genuinely cause anyone to become so upset and leave.

I'm not having a go, but I find all this talk about how the forums are going downhill a bit strange, these are discussion forums, and things will be discussed. I have no doubt the mods would delete anything genuinely controversial anyway, like racism and such.

The topics in this section have been harmless and quite amusing at times.

I'll be honest, I rarely visit the hifi section myself now, because I am generally happy with my system, and feel I have little to contribute to it any more. However, I am more than happy to talk about more general things.

Sorry you feel you have to go, but I think you are overreacting a touch.

Stumblin - I for one will be very sorry to see you go. I hope that at some point you may reconsider.

There is nothing I HATE more than the gimps that like to tell you they are leaving a public chat forum.

If you genuinely are not interested just **** off, no one cares.

garyi - I think that attitude might be exactly what he has a problem with.

A forum is like a pub, you can't agree or get on with everone, and you dont have to talk with everyone.

Its a public space with thousands of points of view, I can't understand the fuss, ignore what you dont like and enjoy what you do? If you want to leave thats a shame but fair enough but why the need to tell everyone? Does that mean you will be coming back just to look at this thread?

The drama queening and sniping at people/threads at the moment is pretty childish IMO. As already said anything inciting hatred or racist etc. would soon be removed, the moderation on here is the right balance of passive/active well done guys.

That's a bit unfair. The notice of leaving might be just to let people know they won't get responses to questions they have asked.

Stumblin, as much as I'd like you to reconsider I'm sure you'll make your own mind up about it...

Unfortunately, it doesn't look like anything particularly positive is going to come of this thread, so I'm going to stop it in it's tracks.
