In general, I think "leaving" threads are a bit naff & it's been fun here, but less so recently. I'm not prepared to endure libellous remarks, being called a LIAR and a COWARD, and general abuse about my job, and/or my professionalism.

Three figures stand out from the crowd, here: brizonbiovisier, 3-D Sonics, and greg. Well done, you've won.

You'll find me on pfm, and nowhere else. Goodbye & good luck to all.

although i don;t agree with bub's point of view when it comes to what constitutes good hi-fi i think it quite sad that he feels alienated enough to take this position.

Indeed. May you find happiness at PFM, and thanks for the heads up at various times

James, I apologise for the offence my comment caused to you. It was intended as a humourous dig at the NHS rather than at you but I appreciate the context and content made it slightly inappropriate.

Whilst I feel it is my duty to nark those who nark others, please don't vacate on my account

James is one of the wittiest posters I've come across on any forum.

Dear James, I think you are mistaken. 3D presented an argument that got into name calling from your side first. greg, I believe, was caught up in the spirit of the moment and has apologized. And if you let Nick get your dander up, you have noone to blame but yourself.

I closed this thread initially as I didn't want what have been repetitive and tedious arguments disinterred.
Greg I'm sure your apology will be appreciated. Markus that's why I closed it. If James is leaving us, it's not really a very good show to shout parting shots as he goes.
Can we let it lie now guys?

I'm going to close this thread again as all that needs to be said has been.
