I really modded this one strictly for Audio Replay.

It plays Video DVD, Outputs are SVideo and Composite. You can find much better DVD players (picturewise) for very little money, this one is best viewed as "strictly CD-Player".

2 questions.
1) Would you ship or are these pick up only?
2) What are the nobbles on top of the cabinets?

My girlfriend describes the speakers as 'really cute' so it looks like I could get away with a sneaky purchase...

 

If only I had the money T, I'd buy them for looks alone. They sound good as well. As for the bread bins, what can I say?, except, go for it John!!!

First, all items can be shipped and should survive normal shipping, if original packaging exists it will be used, if not something similar enough can be found to pack them well.

Sadly, somone else shouted first for the speakers, so they are for now off the list.

As for the 'nobbles', I ususally call them 'Shim Mick' disks, but they are basically chinese chess pieces.... They are not included.

I dug out some pictures of the modded DVD Player.



Here an inside view, showing top to bottom, the swiched mode supply (modified with bypassing on the main reservoir capacitor, also observe the nude capacitors), the transformer is resonance tuned with a chinese chass piece, next to it is the small E/I core transformer for the analogue stage.

Below on the right side first the clock and the zap-filter analog stage, next to the added XLR connectors. On the left side you can see the transport with it's tuning comprising chinese chess pieces and crystals.

The bottom shows the main digital PCB with some more tuning.
