Yeah, I've had one of these too.

    Seems like an OK idea

This was posted on a mountain bike forum. I thought it was a great idea and immediately put two ICE numbers into my phone...

Had a notice about this up at work - not a bad idea if it gets some widespread use, but I've not got much bar 999 to stick in there...

I first go tthis through on an email, I thouht it was a scam, come on most things are these days but it did check out.
But a couple of flaws like rsand says, if your phone is locked they might not know how to unlock it, then you have to find the address book, all phones again differenet and the bigest problem, its more likely than not that your phone would be damaged beyond use anyway, since they are so fragile these days, you just have to breathe on them and they stop working. Surely a better idea would be a card with these numbers on in your wallet? good old fashoned, pen and paper!

Better still something like the good old fashioned tried and tested Dog Tags or Medical Alart tags designed with the express purpose of conyeying a small amount of vital information about a person when they them selves can not.

Obviously there's a few flaws, but it's still worth doing. Only takes a few seconds.

And certainly better than wearing dog tags!
