A mate of mine, who is into 5.1 Home Cinema as opposed to stereo sound, uses a PS3, or Toshiba HD-DVD E1 for upscaling to SD, into his new Denon AVR-3808 amp and he has just bought some Bose Acoustimass 6 Series 3 speakers. So far so good except that he doesn't particularly like the sound and after reading about the Boses and not finding anyone with anything positive to say about them, he is convinced he has put his foot/feet in it. From his previous set up he still owns a pair of B&W DM302s and is wondering if perhaps he should stay with them and look for a centre subwoofer and 2 rear surround speakers to match. Any ideas anyone on this or indeed on a whole new standmount speaker set-up to match his amp for 700 quid max.?
