frankly, talk to your other half, ask her these questions. Thats who you should be talking to.

Like others have said, valentines day is a load of commercial pish and I don't like the fact that if you don't do something on that one day, then apparantly you're a bad partner.

But, it means something to her.
It's an easy opportunity to get some brownie points.

I tend to make comments in the lead up about how wank the whole thing is, then go for something cute/funny.

I went for the below card, thena while later gave her a "proper" card and a giraffe hand puppet thing. Coz I iz smoove like dat!

Anniversary on march 4th, which means something MOre to me. I've something "special" lined up for that. See the custom jewellery thread a couple of weeks back
