I need a pair. Less than £25 really.

I could DIY a set if it's going to be worth it - last set I made used Shark silver cable and locking plugs. Any better options?

If there are some hidden bargains on Ebay etc. then feel free to point them out.

..or should I bite the bullet and spend more.... (and this isn't an invitation for a cable debate ;) )

I'm considering ordering some BMC interconnects - Eichmann Silver Bullets, very good sounding cables (based upon a set I have on loan, WBT terminated) and around £80 plus P&P from the states. I think that's good value, considering the price of the Silver Bullets. I'm also considering the AntiCables i/cs, but haven't decided which way to go. Based upon how comprehensively astonishingly good their speaker cable has proved in my system, I'm very tempted by the ANtiCables over the BMCs. Anyway, I digress...

How about Profigold Oxypure - loads on ebay for under £25. Very nicely made for the money (only paid £14.99 on ebay) and I was happy with them even in my pretty decent set-up (Wadia CD, Perreaux amp , Revel speakers).

I bought a pair of Wireworld Luna 5 recently based on some favourable reviews, and they've really surprised me with their quality sound. I've never thought much of cable claims, but the Lunas make a bigger difference than most cables I've heard, and for the better. Great deep, stable soundstage and really likable balance. I almost prefer them to my 150 quid Ecosse Reference Maestros, and I got them for 30 quid!
