After more than a year, I am still yet to really hear my system, because I am still using the freebie interconnect that came with my CD player. Please excuse my student peasant-ness. If anybody has anything they could mercifully offer for £15 inc. delivery I would be eternally indebted. Thank You.

It was probably a bad move to be scrounging on my first post, but such is the height of my desperation.

Why not just go to Richer Sounds or Dixons and get one for £15?

Try a search on EBAY, you can usually pick up cheap I/Cs on there.

Thanks for your replies. I was looking for some cheap second hand cable. I'd be pretty useless at any DIY work, but'll consider it if nothing comes up on ebay, which i'll keep an eye on for the next few days. Also, does it effect performance if an interconnect is used second hand?

Sounds like a deal for someone! They send you a cable, get £15 or so for it, and you're forever indebted to them! Swopping your soul for cable is taking things a little far I think. :p

Welcome to the forum btw. :D

As for will it effect it because it's second hand. Some will say no, and some will say yes. And those who say yes will MOst likely say "yes, for the better", believing it's been burnt in and thus will sound better! It'll be cheaper for sure though! :D
