I've decided that really I should sort out the cabling in my system as it's basically pants, the cables are mostly very cheap monster ones.
    Now my choices are:
I'll get some of SCSI Bobs like I did last time. These look quite tasty
    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Robert-Schofi...QQitemZ5786639754QQcategoryZ295QQcmdZViewItem
Alternatively I could buy some DNM speaker wire and some bullet plugs and find a friendly solderer!
Or any aother suggestions. I can spend I guess about £250 and for that price I'll need 4.

spooky...moments before looking at this this thread I was looking at a job vacancy based in northern Ireland - but was based a wee bit far away from Whitehead (where I'd live) and I check the ebay link and scroll down and at the bottom there is a picture of some weather forecast...and guess where the vacancy was based at..?

yeah, you guessed it... Enniskillen - Co Fermanagh

    the signs are there.... ;)

I'd say get some pure silver wire from Maplin and do it youself! I'm sure you can solder an RCA plug.

For £250 I will sell you the best interconnects on the market today - and I'll guarantee that, or your money back - plus $5000(*). You can have any length you like between 6" and 6 feet and you can choose cable colors of black, blue, yellow, green or red. Snazzy matching cable boots and true 75ohm RCA termination.

I'll either bake the in the California Sun, or put them in the freezer (depending on your preference).

For the sum you're proposing, I'll even include shipping.

(*) simply show that you can hear the difference with another LCR matched cable:)

    Is that for 4?

BTW its generally not good practice to use the forum directly to sell your own products. Maybe next time just let the person know you sell cables and send a PM if they want more information. Put a link in your sig if you have a website for them or something?

I was hoping to flush out sellers and experts in the field. I know I'm not batting in WM's ball park, but I know others have an interest in that field.
Oedipus if you have a product it might be better to PM me with details.
If you're a sceptic fine but please don't turn this into a cable war, I've just got back off holiday for gawds sake!

Zanash stock many types of silver wire. Use them with Eichmann Bullts. He might solder them up if you ask nicely.

Well, that's what I was offering at the time, but if you'd like to pay £500 for 4, then I'll cheerfully take your money. You'd be paying more, so they must be better, right?

But it's OK to indirectly sell someone elses? :)

I'm merely pointing out that £250 is a lot of money for 4 interconnects.

In fact I've nothing to sell. Although I have 175' of Canare LV77S at home (in the colors I mentioned) and perhaps I should sell some of it off. The cable itself sells for 69/cents a foot and the connectors are $3 a piece. I mention this as there's a good chance that the studio in which your music was recorded used this cable (or starquad) or belden - and probably considerably more of it than you need for interconnects - so three feet of nordost "whatever" is, in the great scheme of things, going to make sod all difference.

Who said my name.....I heard that !

Just about right, you can build them yourself or there's a bespoke version .....
    drop me a pm
I'll let you have the details.

Cost is basically dependent on connectors and conductor type................Z

I made some .5mtr interconnects with pure silver solid wire, with insulation provided from airline hose from my local tropical fish shop. plugs are maplin shark 2.99 for 2

Did a direct comparision with Nordost Red Dawn, vdH D102, JPS-Labs Ultra.
have to say that mine performed much better than any of the others. of the others Red Dawn was the best, but mine offered so much more in terms of holographic and width of the soundstage.

it's definitely worth a go IMO.

Try the silver interconnects sold by ebay seller ' straightthru ' for around 60 pounds. check his feedback. Easily beats, for example, VDH 1st ultimate, & Acoustic Zen MC2 when compared as a digital cable between transport & DAC. These i/c's are one of the few bargains in Hifi at the moment & sold by a decent guy - top fast & friendly service.

    - Not spam, no connection, other than a happy owner :)
