I'm going to be selling up all my kit (bar the headphones) soon because I am moving out and there is simply no room for my hifi in the new place, and apart from that I will be needing the money... for a headphone only setup.

This is just an interest check at the moment, but this kit will be getting sold off in the next few weeks...

Rotel RA-01 integrated amplifier - Sold
This is my favourite budget amplifier, good looking, well built amplifier with a simple design but a big bold sound. Great amplifier for rock, dance and pop music.

    Rega Ela speakers - Sold
These I think are Mk1's, 3 spikes, fluted sloped baffle, 5" midbass driver, silk dome tweeters.

QED Silver Anniversary speaker cable - £12 including P+P
2x approx 3m lengths, will do for one pair of speakers

Van Den Hul The Bay C5 interconnects - SOLD
    1.2m length

Sonic Link Lilac interconnects - £30 including P+P
1m length, very nicely finished pink interconnect :D

If you are interested, leave a message here or PM me.

    Cheers

    Hi LCD,

    The cable is unterminated.

I might still have the box for the VDH somewhere... I certainly didnt throw it out, its just a case of whether someone else did... I'll let you know.

Hi! If LCD doesn't want the QED SA, then I'm interested.

Paul, how is your hearing doing with phones? I always liked to run phones at full blast but they were never a full time thing.

Are you buying or renting BTW?

Hi Graham, just seen this post...

My hearing is doing fine with the phones. I am waiting for a new headphone amp to replace the amp and speakers I have sold. I like to listen to volumes I'd consider to be fairly loud, and I have noticed no ill effects.

I'm house sharing with some mates in Cowgate :)

Dom, I havent moved out yet, but I will be at the beginning of May :D

I swapped the Ela's for a Pioneer DEH-P77MP car stereo, which I can probably get £170 for...

The owner of the pioneer was totally shocked, as the ELA's whupped his 2 month old B&W 603 s3's on total musicality,

TBH, the pioneer headunit hadnt been used for a over a month, I enjoy the sound coming out of the stainless steel performance twin tuber sticking out of the back of my coupe more, specially at the 6k rpm mark on a twisty back road, Paul will know of the road I mean, where did we end up? oh yeh, Scotland :JPS:

So now the dining room AV system has a B&W front end, where it seems they work best, and the ELA's perform nightly in the living room, ahem, on the end of a small Rotel.
