About £1000 [+ customs, VAT etc] for 4 x 12" drivers and 2 tweeters? No boxes? If you need linen surround disco drivers, I would buy Celestion or Fane, not Eminence [who specialise in OEM kak]. If you really need v efficient speakers, I'll put on my thinking cap. I've got some 92dB floorstanders I'm happy to sell for 150 sobs, if it helps

    Chris,

I like the idea, but not the drive units employed.

I wish you'd mentioned them before though, the Thommessen sub crossover looks just right for me! Anyone know about the quality or otherwise of this German company's products?

Interesting points on the drivers, what about the tweeters, any good?

Value wise, I think they sound slightly dear too, but you do get 2 x thomssen sub things with them too, which evens it up a bit I think.

NB I like the dodge viper - adidas trainer style aswell!

Probably stating the obvious, but Wilmslow Audio in the UK do similar speaker kits, like these ATC based efforts for instance:

    https://secure.wilmslow-audio.co.uk/acatalog/Wilmslow_Audio_ATC_K50_and_K100_Kits_12.html

They look a reasonable source for just buying drivers too, not that I've used them. If I was in the market for a new pair of speakers I reckon I might at least make a trip up to their factory to have a listen. (I've actually been toying with giving one of their smaller subs a go but I've resisted so far.)

Oh, and in the right room those blue speakers could look pretty damn good I've have thought :MILD: .

I can second Wilmslow...........I've used them a lot . There kits are pretty damn good , and competitively priced too. Even there cheap drivers are good.
