Try an integrated; much better than intergrated. Less of that grating 'r' distortion. Much smoother and easier on the ear.

There was a Manley Stingray in the Hi-fi world classifieds for £800 this month. You'd try hard to beat that

Have heard very good reports re Sonus Faber Musica - haven't heard one myself but have heard a very reliable story that this saw off a £12000 Mark levnson setup.

i would like to second Larkrise the Sonus Faber Musica is no regular 50 watts per channel amp it is powerfull but it is also very expensive if you don't mind spending the Bow Technologies Wazoo XL is another fine product i may be a little bias because i owned one the McINTOSH 6900 is also a very good choice but i do not know your budget so i will stop there lots and lots of good stuff all you need is money money money that's all

depends what your budget is really.. i dont think you can do an awfull lot better than the Bel Canto S300i for the money.

I replaced a Cyrus preX - Psx-R - MonoX - MonoX combination costing £4000 with this one box wonder, and it easilly competes with them. It has a wonderfully clean open and balanced sound.

Its also a very neat small and powerfull solution.

They can be had for about £1100-1500 depending where you go and who you buy from.

Based on the new ICEpower modules, it really is quite a bit better than most standard class AB amplifiers for any reasonable sum of money. Your talking the best Krell and levinson integrateds before you do much better.

Look up the reviews and the user comments on this site and on the cyrus unofficial forum (which has enjoyed quite a few conversions to bel canto of late) and you will see that these things are very highly regarded.
