    cheers sgt.

I'm using 150k at the moment, which is good enough for me. (cheap enough)

I take it that's what you mean.

can all of these other ISP's be used from a BT line?

    cheers

I'm on BT Broadband, I've used it for more than a year now, we were invited to take part in a trial so we didn't need to pay any connection fees etc and we got the first two months free, a free modem and four free microfilters. We pay £30 a month now which isn't that cheap anymore, but it is for a 576kbps connection.

I think all the ISPS can use a BT line, it would just need converting to ADSL first.

To check if the exchange is ADSL enabled punch in a BT phone number near your new location here

If you were to go for plusnets cheapest ASDL offering it's as low as about £19/pm + inst fee, but take into account that the cheaper it is the more likley that they'll block off high util network apps, i.e. kazza, edonkey, etc ...
