ipod help

    I'm having a funny problem with my ipod, and am wondering if I'm doing something wrong or if I've got something set funny somewhere.
    If I go back to the very first menu, the one with all the settings on, when I go back to the music menu instead of there being a cursor, it says on or off ie Music on, album off. I can correct this by going to the settings and pressing restore settings, but then I can't use the backlight because as soon as I do, it makes the music settings go funny again.
    Strangely when I plug it into the computer everything works fine for a while unless I go onto that first menu.
    Any ideas guys?

    Sounds odd. No idea I'm afraid but the guys at iLounge (formerly iPodLounge) probably do :)

    Funny but my wifes does it as well! So maybe they're supposed to do that. I wonder if it's a battery saving feature
