Do Spybot or Adaware run in the background? I have both,I can't think of anything else in my system that would kill the pop-ups

No idea except switch them off and see if the pop ups appear.

Or you could start using Firefox ;)

    Check this out !

There's probably a config option in Opera that shows you the destination URL in a popup instead of what the website wants to show.

Saab - see SgtRock's earlier post for what we're on about. BTW, these aren't popup windows that a popup blocker (or Firefox for that matter) would block, they're just the little "tooltips" that appear when you mouse over a thread title.

Well its rather annoying so there! It pops up almost immediately on mine and if it gets a change it stays up and changes for each thread. I lose where the mouse is and have to move to the edge of the screen and start again.

I remember the apple help forum tried doing this for a while, then they too realised it was largely pointless.

I bet no one here really sits on the front page reading through there little pop ups to decide if they will open the thread. Jesus.

Paul you are right I would never use IE because on both platforms I have found that it is the slowest on the market, but what every keeps you happy!

Actually I do. Sometimes I sign on from a 56k modem, so being able to recognise yet another debate about cables/DAC64/Mana quickly is a god send.

    So nur.
