Beethoven Piano Concerto no.2 playing as I WFH, changing tack momentarily. God, it's enjoyable, Kempff playing on my 'tulip' pressing. Mad ein England year unknown but probably late fifties. Yeah, more important than kit - of course it is only playing through tubes and some panels...

Oh gosh, Cadence are Indian and not well known in the UK, a few examples of Anina and Amaya about. Product range has moved on since then. Their brand is on the okey-dokey of course although I don't see their involvement and have not seen it on their web site. The site is pretty static and they are low key in general.

    Found here

Allegedly, they made their UK attmept 5 or 6 years ago and a certain 'audiofreak' took a rather nice lump of consultancy thousands out of them and then left them out to dry. I've no idea to what extend and how much of this is true (my comment is without made prejudice etc. etc.). Some said the integration was not the best, some said bo**ocks, damned fine speakers. They were a very good opportunity for me, long term no idea. I am quite possibly headed to Vandersteen 2ce signatures next, I've liked them so far with each listen.

I tend to plan ahead, research and then try at home when the time is right. That and trying the Music First Audio passive pre could see me just about done save cables, cartidges and perihperals over time. Well, going active with the Amaya or 2ce notwithstanding!

Take a look at the django too it seems quite a bit cheaper and is based on the same TX.

What is your complete system? Is it on the "my kit" thread?

Thanks, some kind of US or Chinese kit mail order from an unknown manufacturer allegedly delivered from Hong Kong - so you're running blind assuming you get something having paid and then trust it works, can be assembled, the lights are switched on somewhere in the World if you need support etc.

I'm only going by the returns I got on a web search. For sonic nirvana in something so simple I might be tempted. However, lack of comfort we rightly or wrongly associate with certain brands (the attribute of existence, reputation and confidence) does not rest easy with first instincts.

    More questions than answers prevail...
