I have just bought a pair of Pmc Gb1's, Musical Fidelity Xray V3 and X-150 setup...
I have the setup in my study which is small with solid oak floors.
I have the speakers on spikes on the wood floor..
I get some vibration on certain bass frequencies and feel the bass could be tighter..
Any suggestions for any isolation product or solution that may help..
The interconnects are Van Den Hul C5 the Bay & speaker cable is Supra Rondo Biwire...

    cheers Paul

There are some good suggestions and some not so !

having heard the PMC's on platfoam ..they do sound good [not my taste]....but can confurm that the foam does work to control floor bourne transmission. The setup was a little up front and grip you by the throat for me, thought that could have been the particular MF amps etc.

I've always found that replacing spikes (on floor standers or on speaker stands) with Nordost Pulsar Points makes a significant improvement - not espceially cheap though.

Hi,have used RDC cones under my last 2 pairs of speakers,H2's and currently Zenons, under the Zenons have type 1 cones direct onto the carpet, much better than the suplied spikes.

Would suggest using the cone cups on solid floors.Did try titanium pulsar points, but prefered the cones.

I run my Xenons without spikes - just the flat metal bars direct to wood laminate floor. Works for me.
