isotek orion

Hi guys new to the forum
Just wanted to know if anyone has or heard the difference the isotek orion makes to your system.
I live in an old house and the mains isn't that good i can hear clicks and pops from my fridge as i'm writing this.
But don't hear it on my system which is in another room.

sorry not very good with the links as you can see not very good with computers either.

 

i used to use an isotek minisub and very effective it was too. giving me a nice lift in my digital equipment. you want to be careful with anything that draws a current though as some of the filtering can squash dynamics with certain pre/ power amps - naming no naims.

Ive read about specific products/ideas to stop fridge pops/clicks.

For DIY solution (if you're ok with mains DIY jobs!!) have a word with Pete (zanash). Im sure he wouldnt mind helping.

Otherwise, I think Russ Andrews does a fridge-pop-stopper.

You can get some good off the shelf suppresor caps to stop the thud and pop of fridges and washing machines have a look at Maplin thats were I got my last lot. I have to say I'm a lynwood fan, Not certain I heard julians isotek.....but agree ferrites are a NO NO as they do terrible things to the sound stage and dynamics.
