    Hi Keith,

The chap in the photo could be Joe Roberts.

This is what happens when you get old! ii think it is the same guy who was in the Silbatone room, where they were playing an old pair of WE L9's?

Strangely it sounds like people in the video are talking Japanese, not Korean.

It's Joe Roberts, and he works for the Silbatone owner at finding him all that tasty WE stuff.

That looks like a cross between a BMW and a wheely bin.

That's you off my Christmas cards list!

Having said that, looking at the 3 pointed star I'd have said Mercedes:D.

    Hi Dev,

I don't do cars at all.

You see, what I always say in situations like this, is that the guy clearly doesn't have a toddler. 30 seconds and there'd be drivers, valves and gubbins all over the shop.

These rich Korean guys all have offsite listening rooms...you think their wives are going to put up with this nonsense?

My Silbatone friend learned early when his baby daughter attacked a Western Electric 755A with a chopstick. She is now in college in the States, so no further danger to the hi-fi rig.

Silbatone has the world's best Western Electric collection. Very specialized and focused on WE theater gear. All complete factory systems, restored and ready to play.

One of our friends has the best collection of all, anywhere. 5000 wind up phonos, warehouses of vintage gear, a million LPs, 20 EMT turntables, 12 Neumann cutting machines, WE, Westrex...you name it. It is astonishing.

Here are a few pics showing maybe 1% of his stash.

This is all going into a museum. The hotel, concert hall, and exhibition halls are already under construction. Silbatone is also planning a museum of WE in Seoul.
