Its those S & B transformers again !!!

    Fast becoming more ubiquitous than dear old Russ, yes its another Stevens & Billington transformer passive. Funkiest version I've seen yet - and three inputs :D

    Peter (the guy who makes those) spends a lot of time over on diyaudio.com. I didn't realise he was marketing those creations now :eek: - though it was just for himself.

    I've seen his S&B based pre before - looks very nice.

    very 47 labs in looks... which is not a bad thing, in fact it's a very good thing imho.

    I know its something that has been brought up before, but what if anything would be likely to make the various S & B creations sound much different to each other ??

    Hi,

    I would say that any major differences will be done to the quality of the wiring, switches, connectors & construction.

    This is interesting, as I have all the bits to start building a transformer pre amp.
