    Fantastic news, well done:D

Having the 5 way 1095 I can say that the Rotel rocks.

Ahhhm the beast that is the 1090 :D .
    You're gonna love it !
    Reminds me of my old 991 & 993 :(.

Be warned though, VERY HEAVY  !!!!

I'd recommend sticking it on a slab as opposed to your rack because manouvering that is not going to be easy; they also run pretty hot.

Benefits (as most Rotels do) from a decent power cord ;).

Nice one Penance- enjoy :) .

Oh, and as Dom mentioned - your electrical supply is about to get a hammering  .

Hehe, I cant see you ever worrying whether your amp is man enough to drive any speakers ever again :D What was it again? 380 watts a channel @ 8 ohms with 0.03% THD or something like that? :JPS:

I'd recommend buying [and wearing] a nappy when you first turning this bad boi on !

It's also worth having a larf at the size of the Tranny inside. They actually had to add a 5th foot underneath the centre of the case to ensure that it didn't sag under all that weight :D.

Actually, if I remember correctly, the 1090 [like the 1095] should have 2 wheels at the back  to aid with positioning.

    Paul

    Its 700W into 4ohms

    Dyn's = 4ohms:D

It's got some damn fine reviews, comparing it to amps 2 - 3 times the cost, although im not sure how much rotel paid for the review;)

voodoo, does it come with a stair lift?
    my listening room is upstairs:eek:

Perhaps you should invest in a nice hard hat, to protect your head from injury by flying speaker cone when you get carried away with the volume :D

I know ultrasonic made his Mission M71's do that when he had a pair of bridged RB-03's (only 180 watts @ 8 ohms). ;)

I wouldnt worry about its sound quality - I think Rotel's amps are the best bang for the buck in hifi these days...

Like in those adverts, with ex-Emmerdale actors :D ?
    Smell the weeeeeeee !

Seriously though Penance, don't drop it; I almost lost a toe when shifting a 993 (and that's only 1/2 the weight !). The heatsinks are pretty dangerous and the grab handles at the front will be pretty much useless on that size of amp  .

I'd ask the delivery guy to take it upstairs, he's insured for these things; you're not ;).

I think the first thing you'll notice one it's warmed up are the dynamics
    .
It's a good all-round amp (fairly neutral) but for me it does favour Dance/Rock/Pop/Dynamic Jazz :band: (not loungesque  ) over the more delicate material; although, clarity for acoustic material is excellent :guitar:. Of course this will be highly dependent on your pre and other associated equipment but I reckon you'll be posting a review with a big, fat, cheesy grin :D.

You may even find yourself receiving a Christmas card from your speakers :buddies:  .

The Dyn's will lap it up. There's no such thing as too much power for Dyns :JPS:

Penance, you should find noticeable results with even a lower end cable.
I only ever used Yello's on my Rotels :( but reckon an Eupen might up the PRaT a little but may take away some neutrality ;).

The supplied cords are actually fairly chunky, so should do in the meantime.

A Eupen made absolutely no difference at all to my Rotel amp (yet it did to other devices). Rotel has very good quality and well shielded power supplies, so it might not need a better one TBH.
