    just came across this vinyl double album witch i never new it existed
    in memory of billy preston & brian rolance, quite a great piece of music i think, has ayone heard it ?? if you did what do you think?

    One of my most eagerly anticipated albums when it came out. Could have been (should have been?) truly great, but I thought it was quite mediocre. Not a patch on JJ Cale's recent solo output IMHO. Not that good a recording either...

    If you've not heard it, maybe try and seek out To Tulsa and Back - Cale's best of the last few years IMHO which can stand and be counted against Troubadour and Naturally
