    Hello guys ,

I have a friend who owns a pair Quad ESL63 and he drives them with two Jadis JA30 KT88 monoblocks
He always used his JA30 with 16 ohms internal setup .. but we have read somewhere he could get better result setting his JA30 for 4 ohms
Do you agree or did you have better results with other settings?

Thanks to EveryOne for your opinions/suggestions

    Ohm tap..?

    Hi,

The simple way to check if the lower ohm setting is better is to put the speaker connection to the lower setting of 4 ohm's and play the same music track and listen carefully, you will make up your own mind if what your hearing is better. Those Jadis JA30 are really lovely valve mono's! And matched with a pair of Quad ESL 63's, sounds like a match made in heaven!

    Enjoy...

I used my ESL63s with a UnisonResearch P30K and a PrimaLuna Prologue 2, and the Quads sounded better off the 4 ohm output of both of these amps, so it may well be worth your friend experimenting on the Jadis.

    Hello Macvisual ,

Thank to you for your suggestion
I agree with you .. I know very well the sound of my friend Giorgio Ja30 KT88 JJ-Tesla and his Quad ESL63 Arcici and you're right .. heaven!
We are only investigating about the best tap (4-8-16ohms) to use with ESL63 .. since Jadis has internal settings for different ohms speaker outputs and need some work to change.
I have asked on Audiogon too .. same topic .. and I got some interesting replies
Summarize the best result has been reached with the 8ohms taps
