These are one of te most sort after JBL speakers, formerly the top of the line model. Finished in light Rosewood these are in excellent condition a 4 way floor standing speaker design, capable of handling the most powerful A class amplifiers. Come complete with manuals
this has a 'god like reccomendation' amongst people on the Lansing Heritage site. I'd reccomend giving them a go to anyone looking for floorstanders right now
Thanks Bottleneck I can vouch what you say. I did not see any on ebay the last pair I saw were 4 years ago. I am looking in the region of £1195 which is a bargain for anyone looking at buying some floorstanders right now.
I can also vouch for these being exceptional loudspeakers in many ways, particularly if you carry out a number of relatively easy mods to the crossovers and enable them for biamping. What condition are the driver surrounds in AN and have they been reconed at all?
Thanks Stereo Mic - The drivers are in excellent genuine condition, surrounds are like they came out of Northridge.
Come on guys, no one in the market for some awesome rare speakers? Check the reviews on the web, these are not your usual cheap rubbish these are currently in a high end system and are awaiting for a demo, you will then also see why I am selling these Price drop to £1100
Jeez, the only thing stopping me buying these is the divorce courts (and 2 year old toddler and room too small and...). I have even toyed with the idea of storing them for 12 months until the house extension is built!!!! Someone buy these for christ's sake and don't let them fall into the wrong hands. Out of interest do you know the approx. build date and the history of re-cone/re-surrounds as I assume that they must have been done at some stage (unless they are the some of the last ones made during the 90's).
Thanks Andy, that's exactly what I did they were tucked away in a corner for approx 18mths when I brought them until the building work was completed that's how much I wanted them. These are the last of the original 250ti' from the early 90's, these as far as a I know have never been refoamed/reconed/re-surrounded they are totally original. If you are looking at floorstanding speakers, these have to be heard they will literally blow away £4-5k speakers.
More PICS AND INFO For all the people who have pm'd me here are some more pics. These are now in the spare room due to the arrival of my new beasts. You will see below I also had a pair of B&W Nautilus 802's in my system and these lasted 5 months despite selling them for 3 times the value ot the 250ti's, You will also see what I ultimatley replaced them with and are the current speakers in my system. So for people who want to spend 3-4k take a good close look at these and save the rest for you crimbo shopping.
Er, you appear to have replaced perfectly decent speakers with a pair of Daleks. Are you sure that's safe? (Remember, Daleks can now levitate up staircases and are thus not recommended as pets. You have been warned). Martin
I agree Martin but wife's prefered choice, If it means I still get to keep a pair or 250ti's I can live with some Doctor Who extras Maybe I can send them out to do the shopping, do chores around the house, clean the car
A pair of speakers that double up as pizza oven and beer cooler. That's what the world needs. Martin :MILD:
Sorry still waking up reduced to £1050, this is the last drop so if no one wants them on here by this Wednesday they will hit the famous auction site, I can't believe no one wants a pair of 250ti's or is it just abit slow around here
