    .....has had one of his legs amputated due to circulation problems caused by a car crash.

    Poor fella.
    He's a moany bugger but I wish him well and a speedy recovery.

    For those that are unfamiliar with his work, "Solid Air" is a bonafide classic of the folk/guitar genre.

    Sad news. His work is variable, IMO, but his best stuff is great. Hope he recovers, and at least he didn't lose an arm...

    Yes, sad news, this happened a couple of months ago.
    I got his new album yesterday (And live) which is great on first listen (but then I am a big fan so biased). One day I will get round to a proper review of all the albums I've got (now about 20)....but for anyone interested in hearing some of his stuff, I'd strongly recommend Solid Air, Church with One Bell, The Apprentice, Foundations (live), One World.
