For anybody who is interested there is going to be screening of Joy Division films and performances at the big screen in Shambles Squares.

Its to mark the fact its been 25 years since the death of Ian Curtis on the 18th.

I went for the first half hour, but it was very busy we were sat on the floor so it was uncomfortable.

The gigs were good some very interesting clips of Ian Curtis peforming, we left when the documentery came on becuase like a lot of PA systems it was really high pitched and virtualy impossible to hear properly (especialy for me due to my hearing problem).

    It was worth going though.

Thanks for that, sounds like more effort could have gone into the organisation etc. but still glad to hear you found some enjoyment. ;)

Yep, I only live 4 miles away so getting there was no problem and free (bus pass) I would have been a disapointed if I had to pay though or travel a long way though. They were seats there but we got there just a minute before it started.

The funnyiest thing for me was looking at the publics reaction walking past thinking who the hell is that wirdo doing dancing and what are all these people doing listening to that racket.

Joy Divison is one of the bands that make you realise why you have a decent HIFI system.
