Recently I've won on ebay some 7" singles, and also here I went to a record fair a grabbed a few singles, about 30 of them being ex-juke records have no centres. So does anyone know where online these are avaliable?I have two ,but it's a bit of a pain keep poping them in and out.Thanxs if anyone knows.

My old Project 2 came with a plastic doohicky about half a centimetre thick and the width of the hole in a dinked single - just drop it over the spindle and it effectively makes the spindle the thickness of the dink hole - so you don't need to fiddle with centres for each one. Very handy .... except I haven't a clue where you could get hold of one . So a pretty useless piece of info really. Sorry.

Uncle Ants, the link I posted also carrys that style of adaptor, which as you say are less of a fiddle since you just have to place it on the spindle and drop the 45's over it. But you're right they are quite awkward to track down.

My tt came with the puck thingy. Would have thought all would , perhaps check any packaging that you've got tucked away.

Don't imagine it'd be hard to DIY something.

Adam, my P25 didn't come with an adaptor. But as MO! points out it wouldn't be hard to cobble one together out of some MDF or something. I just guess Rega didn't reckon on people wanting to play 7"'s from jukeboxes.

So it does :) Actually the techincs version may cost 12 times as much, but it looks a bit swishier. It took me a couple of years to even realise what it was for.

No good I assume, but a shop in Newquay in January had TONNES of these "spiders" in - I bought 30 :)

Richers actually gave me a 45 adaptor from a DJ deck a few years back too - it's sitting on my Planar 3 plinth :)

Nah - it's a bit cheap of the jukey/7inch manufacturers for not including the centre in the first place - it's not a Polo mint after all!

I've been wandering whether a Laserdisc player could clamp a jukey 7inch - I might try it later....
