always insist on collecting in person with hi value items and dubious sellers like this, I with around 200 purchases on ebay haven't to my knowledge yet been had as such, but I am sure its only a matter of time. Fortunately I am learning lots about how useless the law and lawyers are ebay and paypals hopeless complaints procedures that can't do anything really, and have more 'feel' for guaging sellers decency.

I wouldn't be so sure its a scam, just a newbie. Everyone's got to start somewhere. Lets see if he's amenable to collection in person.

    He's only in Devon.

I'd expect the amp to reach 2,500-3,000 anyway so perhaps the point is moot.

Take it from me, Plymouth is a dodgy place anyway, avoid!

Always wondered why EBay have this option, what have people got to hide, is it like buying hifi equipment embarrassing or something?

I agree with those thinking it's a scam... No shipping details, the payment methods given, etc...

Do you mean the private bidding? A very good idea IMO, it prevents all the scams emails from other people to those on the bidding list claiming to have the same goods at a lower price (but in Indonesia of course). And stops fake second chance offers after the end of the auction.

The item's been pulled. But don't be too disappointed. Here is an even better one (it's a power rather than integrated).
