KEF Reference Four

    Want to buy a pair of KEF Reference 4 or 4.2 in rosewood if anyone has them (or is thinking of upgrading ).

    Will collect.

    in case anyone stumbles on this thread, still looking, will accept any finish (price permitting of course ;) will close it once I've found a pair.

    Keep an eye on eBay (or set up a search) as they come up now and again.

    I was after rosewood (rosenut?) 4.2's but stopped looking after 3 months.... then a mate spotted a pair in black on eBay going for a very reasonable amount :)

    Yes, I saw the pair on ebay that just went. I was very tempted to pull the trigger on those beauties, sadly I hesitated. So you bought them? I trust they found a good home :)

    incidentally what's rosenut? I thought the speakers only came in black ash, rosetta burr and rosewood...

    I got mine over a year ago - they weren't the pair that went recently :)

    Sorry - rosewood is what I meant - some companies call it rosenut (B&W?) but looks the same.

    If you like large scale,rich sound with massive headroom you'll love the 4's.
