kessler - il aime pas les francais

anybody else seen kesslers letter in hifi news where he admits he has a 'deep and abiding hatred of the french'

surely anyone who manages a 'deep and abiding hatred' of a whole counry and all therein is a stupid bigot.

 

I guess the french didnt pay their advertising dues this month...

 

Kessler has totally lost any possible credibility anyway -most noticably since he favourably reviewed the 'Intelligent Chip' (which, when disassembled, allegedly contains no other active ingredients than a plastic sheet and a US Dime. 10c, not the candy bar.)

that said, to publically admit a deep hatred of a whole nation is hardly a particularly intelligent thing to do. He's American, yes?

Kesslers drivel has destroyed 'News anyway. I doubt I'd want to admit publically to buying the comic it has become...

 

does he give a reason? or is he just pandering to the stereotypical 'i voted for ukip but i'm not a nazi' little englander in the hope of increasing the popularity of the comic he writes for.
'news used to be good - a decent 2nd hand section and some interesting technical articles and readers systems. not bought it for a long time but the last time i did it struck me as a bit of a bruckheimer experience. not as bad as whf or hfc though (although not read either for a while so they may have improved :ffrc: )

I wouldn't worry about it too much - a lot of media - whether they be the tabliods or mags seem have have a hatred of the french and germans etc...

but it is indeed a sad state of affairs

i'd rather not john. once i'd read his lamentation about the increasing age of audiophiles and his subsequent lambasting of modern youth's taste in music and desire for convienience i realised that even if he does like mcintosh kit, the guys a dick.

 

He should be sent back to the colonies forthwith!

 

wouldn;t make much difference really he could probably still submit his column from most places.
